As the venue is exclusively yours from the moment you arrive to the minute you leave, where you host your arrival drinks, ceremony, reception, a cocktail hour and even where your guests shower you in confetti, is completely down to you! We are proud to be a venue for all seasons, so whether you opt for indoors or outdoors, you can create your own wedding in a way that suits you.
THE INTIMATE INDOORS
THE STABLES
The extended stables house the wedding breakfast and evening rooms and can cater for 50 to 200 guests. Their original charm has been retained both inside and out. The timber cladding that wraps around the northern elevation has nature at its heart with the south facing courtyard framed with Northumberland stone and hydrangea lined trellising. With the interiors displaying Hadrian’s Wall stone, timber features and floor to ceiling windows that give a glimpse into the surrounding woodland, the beauty of the estate is always on show.
WEDDING BREAKFAST ROOM
The wedding breakfast room has been designed to bring the outside in and enable every guest to have a perfect view of the top table as well as Halton Grove itself. The space is the most naturally beautiful backdrop for photographs and offers an intimate environment for wedding parties both large or small. Furnished with care, every element has been considered to ensure nothing looks out of place. With views into the woodland and nature and history on display every which way you look, the wedding breakfast room is a stunning place to dine (and enjoy the best man telling tales of his pal!).
EVENING ROOM
Along a hidden corridor, linked to the wedding breakfast room, is the evening room where the first dance (and much more dancing) takes place. It has been purpose built for music and allows your band and DJ to set up during your wedding breakfast, meaning there is no bump in your day where one part finishes whilst you wait for the next to begin. With its own bar, amazing acoustics and beautiful lighting, it is the perfect place for your day to come to a happy end!
THE WONDERFUL OUTDOORS
SURROUNDED BY ENCHANTING WOODLAND & BEAUTY
From mature gardens, established planting, beautiful colours and incredible woodland, every backdrop at Halton Grove is incredibly special. From autumnal leaves to winter snowdrops, springtime wisteria and an array of summer colours, the grounds offer a diverse blend of nature and wildlife all year round.
With breathtaking views to the west across the rolling hills of the Tyne Valley and the adjoining field with its wild grasses, the natural landscape is simply stunning, offering endless, varied photo opportunities.
FOR CEREMONIES
If you’d like to marry outside, ceremonies can be held on the main, field or farmhouse lawns with each having their own individual qualities. The main lawn is surrounded by deep, lush borders and stone walls and the field and farmhouse lawns both enjoy the stunning backdrops of the farmhouse and views that allow your eyes to wander for miles.
Our incredible, covered, woodland space acts as an amazing hybrid which offers the feeling of being inside amongst the outside! It has to be seen to be truly appreciated!
FOR ARRIVAL DRINKS, RECEPTION DRINKS (AND CANAPÉS)
The versatility of Halton Grove is that all of the outdoor spaces can be used for any purpose. The covered pergola works perfectly for arrival drinks, the main lawn or woodland canopy can host your reception drinks whilst the courtyard is the perfect spot for a cocktail hour. However, you may find your own nook that resonates with you where you visualise a certain part of your day – if it’s what you see, we’ll make it work!
