We host only two weddings each week, ensuring that all who attend have the time to enjoy our beautiful space for not only the day itself, but the days either side of the wedding too. The pace is calm and relaxed from the moment you arrive to the minute you leave. This exclusive approach means the entirety of Halton Grove is yours from the moment you arrive to the time you leave. We believe in extending one of the most important occasions, not cutting it short and rushing you in and out. This allows us to truly get to know couples as people rather than them simply becoming a wedding number.
Comprehensive Inclusions and Dedicated Support:
The ideal venue should simplify planning by offering extensive inclusions and a dedicated team to guide you.
Our venue hire includes everything you would hope a wedding venue supplies (and much more). This includes B&B accommodation for 24 people (including the couple) for two nights, full use of all properties and indoor and outdoor event spaces at times that suit you, and all necessary tables, table-linen, chairs (wedding and dining), china, cutlery, and glassware. We also provide a cake table and knife, post box, easel for table/seating plans, garden games, and all other furniture/fire pits (including wood).
Beyond the physical offerings, you’ll receive a private food and drink tasting and your own Couple’s Coordinator to look after you from booking to the wedding day. At Halton Grove our wedding coordinators are experienced professionals, providing attention to detail, organisation, and saint-like patience. Versatile Ceremony and Reception Spaces:
A venue must offer a range of options for both indoor and outdoor ceremonies, as well as distinct areas for dining and dancing.
For ceremonies, we have a wonderfully diverse choice of licensed locations. Our outdoor options include the Main Lawn, described as a beautiful stone wall surrounded oasis of calm, the Field Lawn with incredible backdrop views across the Northumberland countryside, and the Woodland Canopy, a lovely covered space for those desiring an indoor/outdoor hybrid that can also be used for late autumn and winter weddings. For indoor ceremonies, our room with exposed century-old Hadrian’s Wall stone offers the perfect space. For arrival and reception drinks, guests can gather at the covered pergola, framed with climbing wisteria and ivy, with the Potting Shed where drinks can be served. The Woodland Canopy or the Main Lawn are also options for reception drinks if not used for the ceremony. For dining and speeches, the Wedding Breakfast Room, transformed from 19th-century stables, is a stunning space accommodating up to 200 seated guests with charming woodland views. For the evening, our stunning courtyard is perfect for cutting the cake or evening food, and the Evening Room allows the daytime to seamlessly transition into night for dancing, with a late license until 12:30 am.

We are proud to receive incredible feedback on our food and drink offering, an area where people feel we exceed expectation more than any other. Our Head Chef, Emily Botham, with over 20 years of experience, is excellent at delivering a diverse range of food options, including for specific dietary requirements. Every element is sourced locally where possible, and Emily works closely with couples to ensure incredible quality and food to be enjoyed. We can work to traditional or feasting sample menus, or even create bespoke menus. Our drinks packages are carefully designed to work around each couple’s wants and needs, and almost all couples opt for Package A as we guarantee quality without the need to upgrade. One couple noted that many of their guests said it was the best venue and wedding food they had ever had, with the seafood platter being the showstopper.
